Kevin practices primarily commercial law.  His practice includes representation of both debtors and creditors in federal bankruptcy courts, Arkansas state courts, and out-of-court restructurings and work-outs.  It also includes representing buyers and sellers of commercial real estate and other business assets, the formation of business entities, and litigation arising out of such transactions and the operation of business entities.  In his spare time, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family, watching movies, and rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

EXPERIENCE:

Debtor/Creditor -- Lead Chapter 11 counsel to secured lenders, contractors, executory contract counter-parties, and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy courts in Arkansas, New York, Texas, and Maine. Lead preference defense counsel in bankruptcy courts in Arkansas and Arizona. Debtor’s counsel to contractors, manufacturers, and service providers in Chapter 11 proceedings and out-of-court workouts.

Real Estate and Commercial Law -- Counsel to state and national banks in documenting secured loans. Local counsel to secured lenders regarding creation, perfection, and enforcement of security interests, including the impact of Revised Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code. Advised clients on real estate and financial regulatory matters. Litigated boundary line disputes, construction warranty claims, and debt collection cases for banks, equipment lenders, and trade creditors, including foreclosures, replevins, and foreign judgment domestication proceedings. Prepared deeds, leases, purchase agreements, restrictive covenants, and easements for commercial and individual clients.
